Is it just a flat out ban on Gmail? or no websites at all?

One option that I've used before is emailing information to post on my calendar to my Gmail account from a work email account. Gmail offers an option to the side of emails that look like appointments that reads "Add this to calendar?" That little button has made my life much easier.
