Writing is a skill — and to continue improving your skills, it’s important to read at least occasionally about writing. I’ve found a few books online that discuss writing. While they’re of varying value, depending on what type of writing you usually do, they’re all free, making them worth the price no matter what.

2. The Importance of the Proof-reader, by John Wilson
3. The Writing of the Short Story, by Lewis Worthington Smith
4. How I Write My Novels, by Margaret Wolfe Hamilton Hungerford
