Maps tell us a lot about our world; the maps from You Are Here more so than most. It’s a project from the Social Computing Group at the MIT Media Lab which publishes a new map every day.
For Portland, the site has so far shared maps of bicycle crashes, coffee shops, and street greenery. That does sort of sum up my Portland experiences pretty well.
It looks like the group is starting with cities they have experience with, paired with the data that they can get data for. If you want to see a particular city or you have a data set handy, you should contact them.
